My goal is to read 1000 picture books this year. I have found the Goodreads is a great tool for tracking my favorites, mentor texts, comp titles, and much more...and I can just scan the barcode in to add each book to my list.

Favorite books on Craft
So these are the books on craft that I have found the most helpful.
On Writing by Stephen King
The Writing and Critique Group Survival Guide by Becky Levine
Writing Picture Books by Ann Whitford Paul
Writing it Right by Sandy Asher
The last two books are by far the most highlighted, bookmarked and tea-stained of the four.
And Take Joy by Jane Yolen is just a lovely read. But then again, what by Jane Yolen isn't.
